Hey, NA! I, Addict Debbie, have come up with an odd fantasy. Hope you enjoy it... or at least don't hate it. I call it "Kidnapped by the Other Guy." You are walking home from a Nunkies Anonymous meeting, feeling all warm and glowing because one of the members had shown home movies of Nunkies. You can still see that one of him in the bathtub in the back of you mind as you cross the street. You are so wrapped up in it you don't notice the car until it jams on the brakes centimeters away from hitting you. The driver rushes out to see if you are ok and it is then that you realize that the car that almost creamed you is the Caddy and naturally, the driver is Nick, who starts angsting as soon as he sees you. "I'm *so* sorry," he says as he comes to stand next to you. You tell him not to worry about it. "But I almost hit you!" he protests. You realize that could just let him think that it was all his fault and have fun watching him angst. But you are a person with a conscience, so you say, "No, Nick... It's mostly my fault. I was just going home from the meeting and my mind was *not* on the street." you think with a slight grin. Nick eyes you for a moment, his brow wrinkled from thought. You wonder if he ever the Winnie The Pooh thing... you know,"Think, think, think," while tapping his head to make a thought appear. "You're one those women who claims to be addicted to my master, aren't you?" he says at last. When you nod, he shakes his head in amazement. "I'll never figure out what you all see in him." He thinks some more and then says, "Since I almost killed you, will you let me make it up to you by taking you home?" He gives you that little boy look that the Knighties swoon over, probably hoping it will win you over. You, however, are too tired to notice the look and think it would be nice to have a ride home. So you say ok. You fall asleep in the Caddy and wake up to find you're not in your own home, but at the Loft. "What kind of a stunt is this?" You demand when you confront him. "You were asleep so I couldn't ask where you lived. So, I brought you here!" Nick said brightly. you think. "You want anything to drink or eat?" he asks you. "I have some things Nat left here." You tell him no. What you really want to do is get home, but you don't know how to get to your house from the Loft. After an awkward silence, he pats the leather couch next to him, smiling warmly at you. You figure it couldn't hurt to sit next to him for a little while, but you really wish he was Nunkies instead. "So..." he says, sliding closer to you. "You have to tell me what it is that *he* has that I don't have." At first, you don't know what he means. Then he says, "Why do you Addicts like LaCroix better than me?" You're flabbergasted. Could it be possible that Nick purposely brought you here to get this information... or worse... to make you a Knightie? "Ah... uh..." you stammer in your shock. "I really want to know," he begs. You don't know what else to do. You tell him, "Nunkies is *soooo* wonderful. He's strong, handsome, and sophisticated. And he's always there when we need him." You think that he should be here now, saving you from his son. "He's got this charm and splendor that you just don't have, Br-- Nick." You sigh as you picture his sensual mouth and beautiful blue eyes. "I can be all those things!" Nick protests. You shake your head. "But I can..." Nick whines. "I can make you people love me. After all... it was my show!" He grabs you suddenly and pulls you closer as if he would kiss you. It's then that you both hear a familiar voice behind you. "Release her, Nicholas," Nunkies says in his most commanding voice. Nick immediately lets you go and puts as much distance between you and himself as possible. Nunkies turns to you. "When you did not return home, I became worried, ma petite. He didn't hurt you, did he?" The thought of Nunkies worrying over you is enough to send you into meltdown. You swoon into his arms. When you come to, he says, "I will take you home, my dear, as soon as I deal with Nicholas. Go on down to the street. I'll be along shortly." He watches as you walk to the elevator. You hear him say, "You should know better, Nicholas, than to harm one of mine..." You wait outside, realizing that LaCroix has not brought a car... that means he will be flying you home. When he appears by your side, you try to ask what he did to Nick, but he won't tell you. Instead, he says, "I hear there were movies at tonight's meeting. Did you like them?" You nod, wondering what the gleam in his eye means. Then he scoops you into his arms, saying, "Let's go make our own home movies..." The End!
