Feel The Burn By Heather Poinsett ********************************************** A few days before your birthday you receive a strange gift. One of your cousins has given you a month-long membership to a friend’s tanning salon. Even though you’re as pale as can be, you decide to give tanning a chance. At the very least, you can dry up those oily patches on your skin. The first few days are great and very relaxing. The salon is clean and full of friendly folks. However, on the third day, you come home in a beautiful new shade of pink! Och, you haven’t been burned like this since you tried to spend the day on the beach in high school! You drive back home slowly, trying not to think about the pain. You walk to the door, stick the key in the lock and to your amazement the door opens on it’s own. You are even more shocked when you see Nunkies holding the door open for you. Nunkies looks you up and down and shakes his head, as you walk inside. "I’ll never understand your obsession with the sun," he says. He reaches out to touch you and you flinch momentarily, thinking of the pain. He gently slides his fingertips against the flushed skin of your face and you move toward him, enjoying the cool feeling. "You should accept the fact that you weren’t made to spend all day under the sun or a lamp," he says in his fatherly tone, letting his long, cooling fingertips continue down your neck to your shoulder. "Too much sun can be dangerous for mortals too," he wraps you in his arms. You nod and agree. Then again you’d agree with anything Nunkies says, since he is holding you. Nunkies leads you back to the bedroom where he tenderly removes every heavy strip of clothing you have on. He turns the ceiling fan on full-blast and runs his fingers down your shoulders and back once more. You start drooling and come to the conclusion that you are confused. His touch cools you, yet it burns as well . You hear his silky voice in your ear as he whispers, "I have something to help cool you down." Your body chills instantly as you feel several ice cubes slide down your back. You then feel him rubbing aloe vera gel into every burnt area. As soon as Nunkies finishes your rubdown. You shiver. "What's wrong, ma pre'cieux," he murmurs. "I'm just cold," you say. "That aloe vera worked too well." "Perhaps, I can help you warm up again," he says, raising his eyebrow suggestively. You quickly agree that this is the best plan. After all, you enjoy feeling the burn. ***************************************** I think ya'll can take it from there :) ----------------------------------------------------- Cousin Heather (heatherp@smart1.net) a.k.a.
