What, oh what, does Nunkies have to do with UFOs? Well, I'll tell you! I got this little fantasy after a visit to Prairie Grove to go UFO watching with my visiting family this weekend. Several sightings of UFOs (and I don't mean Unsuited Faction Officials) were reported in the area, and I myself have seen one in the same place. Enough hoo-ha... =========================================================================== The Fuzz is Out There: by KC, Mistress of Silliness You and a friend go really way out in the boonies to go UFO watching. It's the middle of the night, and your friend's car is parked in the middle of the field. You and your friend are lying on the ground to get a good look at any hovering objects. Partially into the search, it's not going that well. Half an hour and not one UFO. You thought you saw one, but it was just Venus reflecting off some swamp gas. You and your friend find yourselves getting impatient and bored. Your friend announces she's going into town for some munchies, and will be back in a few. As her car drives away, you sigh and wonder if you'll see anything remarkable tonight. Suddenly, you feel a presence lying beside you. You don't turn your head thinking it's your friend who forgot her wallet or something. However, you don't remember hearing the car pull up. "Lovely night, is it not?" you hear that voice murmur in your ear. You sit bolt upright, and stare blankly at the buzzcut love god who's smiling at you, propped on one elbow. "Nunkies, how did you know I was out here?" you finally manage to say. He smiles inscrutably and reaches for your hair, plucking out a blade of dead grass that had gotten entangled. "My dear, you should know by now that I am interested in everything you do," he says suavely, gently pulling you back to the ground. You both lie there for a while, looking at the starry sky. Your search for UFOs has been sidetracked somewhat by watching his chest rise and fall as he breathes. "Nunkies, do you believe in UFOs?" you ask, looking at him hopefully. He pauses a bit before answering. "I believe there are many things in this life that are not easily explained away. Things man has yet to understand. However, I do not feel you should be so enamored with the unknown cosmos when there is so much unexplored territory on earth. " "But Lacroix, what is there left to be explored? There are no rocks unturned here, and the universe is full of possibilities." "Au contraire, ma petite. There is much mortals do not know about life here." You nearly reach Nunklear meltdown at his French. "Really?" You do your best to sound nonchalant and skeptical. You almost succeed. "What don't mortals know life on this planet? Something you could teach, I suppose." You try not to sound hopeful. He smiles wickedly at you, making you shiver. "As always, my dear, I am happy to help my followers any way I can. This includes tutelage." A seed of an idea forms in your mind. "But Lacroix, absorbing all your knowledge will take a long time. I'm not sure I can learn in all in my lifetime." He leans VERY close over you, inches for your face. "Then we must insure that you have several lifetimes ahead of you, my dear." He says before he silences any retorts with a meltdown-inducing kiss. =========================================================================== Man..got a little heavy there....
