Got to thinking today...a dangerous thing sometimes. Somehow, this little scenario popped into my head: ===== BE MINE The doorbell rings. Taking off your yellow rubber gloves that you were wearing while scrubbing the floor, you answer the door. Standing behind a huge bouquet of white roses is....a rather ordinary looking delivery man. He hands the bouquet to you and asks you to please sign for them, which you do. Thanking him, you close the door and wonder who on earth they could possibly be from! Aha! Genius strikes! You'll look at the attached card!! Removing it from it's little envelope, you see a very nice script...and the card simply reads: "Dearest ~ Please honor me with your presence at The Jeweled Peach, 7 p.m....and wear something very suggestive." How delightful!! Nunkies has finally answered your plea!! Finally, it is time for your date. You arrive at The Jeweled Peach and walk in, being very careful on your 4 inch high heels. Monsieur Cabon greets you at the entrance, eyes your very short and revealing black dress, and leads you to a table in a dark corner of the restaurant. He leaves your side quite quickly. The figure sitting at the table is dressed completely in black, silver sword pin at his neck...your heart is racing. He rises to greet you. "Nunk....," you say. And then stunned, you cough and sputter a bit. "NICK!!" What are you doing here and why are you wearing Nunkies' clothes!!? "I thought it was time we met," Nick says with a slight smile. (Hey -- de ja vu! --) "All of my vests were at the cleaners, and I didn't think he'd mind. He's my Dad, you know," the other guy says with a slight pout. You sit down at the table, more than a little disappointed. However, sitting across the table from Nick really isn't all that bad. He does have a nice smile. "I think we should talk a little about love," he whispers. "Like, why do you love Lacroix's buzz-cut? I mean, I have this wonderful head of thick hair!" "Oh Nick. You're such a fascinating creature...but hey, let's face it...Lacroix's been around a lot longer than you have. More experienced, you know? And your hair, while very thick and pretty, well...you can look so disheveled. Nunkies always looks well-styled. Go to a barber, Detective." Nick scowls at you and then smiles a rather sweet smile. "You know, I've always loved the ceremony of opening...V-8!!" He pops the can open as you squeal! This is unfair! This is wrong! And that's when you hear a "whoosh" and look up to see Nunkies standing behind Nick!! "Nicholas!" Lacroix says. Nick stomps his foot. "Aaw...I never get to have any fun. How come all the addicts like you?? You're evil! And you're old!" Lacroix shakes his head with a sad smile. "Oh really, Nicholas. Do grow up. Look at yourself! You've stolen my clothes, my addict, and this scene. Can't you be a little more original after 800 years? Now, hand over the sword pin and take yourself back to your little coroner friend. I have important business to attend to here." Nick unfastens the sword pin and hands it over to a very stern looking Lacroix. "Now apologize, Nicholas." Hanging his head in shame, Nick walks over to you and takes your hand in his. "I'm sorry. It's all my fault." You forgive Nick as quickly as you can so that he'll leave you alone with Nunkies. He finally mopes his way out the door, as Lacroix takes his place at the table. "So, my dear. I see that you have been quite faithful to me tonight. You know how much that pleases me. My wayward son can be quite seductive. It's good to know that you can't be swayed. I would be most annoyed had I come here to find you in his arms." "Not a chance," you sigh breathlessly, his eyes holding your own in a meaningful stare. "Nice dress," he says with a wry grin. He stands up and walks over to you. Holding out his hand, he helps you out of your chair. As you stand next to him, he puts his arm around your waist. He leans down as if to whisper in your ear, but you feel his tongue graze your ear. Your knees buckle, but he supports you, crushing you against his body. "Why don't we go back to my private quarters at The Raven. Since Nicholas stole one of my scenes, I think I should return the favor. There's a lovely bedroom scene in 'Francesca' that we could act out...only I have a much better ending in mind!" =========== The rest of this fantasy - my version, anyway - is rated NC-17. Not admitted without parent or guardian -- In fact, it hasn't been written yet, so it only takes place in your over-active imagination!
