Notes and Warnings 'Fears of the Knight' is Rated NC-17 for explicit sex. If it's illegal for you, or if you find it personally distasteful, to read something rated NC-17, then don't. NOTE: This story has several intense scenes within. It's a strong H/C story with loads of angst running through it. (g) BE WARNED: Violence and rape are a large part of the story line. If this kind of thing bothers you, then pass on this story! ----------------- Well, here we go again. (G) Though Susan and I have released a couple of pieces before this one, 'Fears of the Knight' was the first piece we began together. It was supposed to be at most 50 pages long; however, the story had other ideas. Now, after working on it for close to two years, we feel it's ready to be seen. We hope you enjoy our piece of fiction. Please send any comments to Knightwave@aol.com or SField8067@aol.com We really would like to hear from you about this story! We want to thank Laurey Breidenthal and Cousin Shelley for the great beta reading. In addition, a big thank you has to go to the amazing Debbie Park, who stayed with our monster through pregnancy and delivery. They, as always, caught the mistakes and made great suggestions that improved the story immensely. Supplying the French translations, which I cannot begin to thank her for, was Julia Kocich. I know she was a bit worried about her accuracy, since as she put it, "It's been a while," so if you note any errors, please grin and plow on through. I also have to give a big thank you to my husband for reading the rough first draft and tolerating my long hours on the computer. Susan: "I have to dedicate this story to two very special people. First and foremost, is April Hackett, who took an abstract idea and through dedication, and lots of hard work, turned it into much more then I ever could have hoped for. And to Illinois Jules, my favorite slant writer in the entire universe. When I was ready to give up on this story, she gave me the inspiration to go on, which led me in turn to April, a fantastic writer, and the best friend anyone could ever ask for! Thank you both for being there." The present story line is written to fit in the void between the end of second season and the start of the third. We have given a little tweak to our vampires' history, having LaCroix and Janette first discovering Nicholas when he was still a squire serving Lord de la Barre. I'm hoping most of you have seen 'Queen of Harps', 'Crazy Love', 'Bad Blood', and 'Ashes to Ashes' as I've drawn information from each of these episodes. Disclaimers: The characters of Forever Knight were created by James Parriott and Barney Cohen and owned by Tri-Star/Sony. No infringement is intended. All the other characters are mine. Please ask before you borrow them. AGAIN PLEAST NOTE: This story has several intense scenes within. It's a strong H/C story with loads of angst running through it.
