A Mortal Siblings Explanation

He was brought across in 1228.
Preyed on humans for their blood.
Now he wants to be mortal again...
to repay society for his sins...
to emerge from his world of darkness...
his endless...forever...Night!

Now let me welcome you to to the world of the Mortal Siblings and Forever Knight.

The essense of the shows premiss is in the quote above. Nicholas de Barbant was made a vampire (brought across) in 1228. He was suduced by Janette DuCharme and broght to her vampire master (Lucien LaCroix) to be made a vampire. For hundreds of years Nick moved from life to life preying on mortals for their blood until finally his guilt (or as many affectionatly call it "Angst") weighed him down and he started a quest to reagan his lost mortality. I however beleive that once he decided not to kill for the blood he regained his Humanity. LaCroix, Nick and Janette's vampire father/master, is of course opposed to this quest and tries at every turn to brake his errent "son" of this waste of time.

In 1990 Nick selflessly through himself onto a pipebomb that would have killed numerous inoccent bystanders. He woke up in the coroners to a startled but not terrified Dr. Natalie Lambert. When he attemped to "whammy" her into forgeting what she saw only to have her fail his test he brough her into his quest for redemption through regaining his lost mortality.

Shortly after this point is when we start seeing factions/affiliations like this the Mortal Siblings. You can get each of their belief sets at their verious sites. I have a partal list on my Mortal Links page if you are interested in visiting the various faction/affiliation sites. I encourege everyone to find a group of like minds. Especaliy in the "War" times.
