WAR TRAINING SESSION - post 4

PLANNING AN ATTACK (Continued)

The Dark Perks have come up with a plan to 'clown' LaCroix's bust and two
Vaqueras have signed onto the plot.  The DP Loop Leader is about to contact
the Cousin Loop Leader.

damage and then slip out.  Is that possible?

No can do on Monday night.  We've got an invitation-only toga party
planned.  Maybe after the party on Tuesday?

Now here comes the hard part -- how much does the DP leader tell or HAVE to
tell the Cousin loop leader?

Some of the most fun of the war is the element of surprise.  You want to
have fun, right?  So try not to panic and need to know EVERYTHING about
your upcoming attack.  The logistics is often enough--where, when, will
anyone be there, etc.

Also, now that the Cousin Loop leader knows about the attack, there goes
the element of surprise, right?  The Cousins will put on guards and the HQ
will be so booby trapped that no even a flea could get in an out.

WRONG!  What's the fun in that?  If the DP's are doing the right thing and
advising you of an impending attack, play along.  You may yet turn the
attack to your advantage.  It doesn't mean that you have to agree with
every attack that comes your way, but you should make an effort to
accommodate most attacks as best you can.

How about BEFORE the party?  If you guys got done decorating early, maybe
we could set up a diversion so that you could kick back and relax before
the party?

Nothing broken.  Just a little makeover on a few things--repairable in
about an hour.

Well, if we got done decorating early . . . yeah, it could be doable.

It would have to be one heck of a diversion.  Whaddya got?

Now it's up to the DP's to come up with a diversion.  After a quick
conference on the DP loop, they come up with a sword and sandal epic
featuring ancient Rome--that's something no Cousin preparing for a toga
party would want to miss.

"Ben Hur" would probably be the best.  Or maybe "Caligula"--but we do have
some underage Cousins and the R rated version stinks.  Okay, let's go with
"Ben Hur".

To review--The DP loop leader and the Cousin loop leader have agreed the
attack will take place Monday afternoon and that a Merc will arrange the
diversion, a special showing of the widescreen edition of "Ben Hur" at a
local theatre.  The Cousins still don't know what the attack will consist
of and will await the contact from the Merc to find out who is supposed to
be setting up the party.

The DP leader now has to hire a MERC to do the dirty deed and WRITE THE
DIVERSIONARY POST.  This is one less post the DPs have to write.

* Could the Cousin leader have turned down the attack?  Sure.  The HQ could
have been busy or they might have been occupied there for another
reason--like somebody else might have been attacking (that can lead to fun
posts--have two people attacking you at the same time and they run into
each other!).
