Ruminations

by Illinois Jules

Ruminations Tell me... Whisper into my ear... Your admiration? Your abhorrence? You cannot, can you... For both thoughts Plague and confuse you. Do they not? Kiss me... Touch your lips to mine... Too cold? Too cruel? You shall not, shall you... For they Disgust and repel you. Do they not? Hold me... Name me as your love... HA! As if your wayward soul Would allow you such forbidden folly! But... You DO tell me... You DO kiss me... You DO hold me... Against your will... For you are mine. And I am yours. Forever. Yes, my child... Fight me. Try! Fight the blood, That binds us.
